East of Green Valley Ranch and enjoying the elevations as high as 2700 ft., guard gated hillside Macdonald Highlands community in the McCullough Mountains offer spectacular panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip, the valley and the surrounding Black Mountains.
Dragon Ridge Golf Course and Country Club, a par 72-championship golf course created from the mountainside by Jay Morrish and David Druzisky, and adjoining homes is the gated centerpiece of the community.
The “Sleepy Dragon” as locals call it has hosted Tiger Wood charity events and the 2003 Wendy’s Three Tour Challenge. While private membership is limited, it is home to the Nicklaus Academy of Golf in Nevada.
